ARTIST'S BOOK / PHOTOGRAPHY / ARCHIVES / ICONOGRAPHY

Founded in 2015, Païen explores the shadows and nooks of popular culture narratives. Their editions always come about after an artistic encounter, the discovery of an archive or iconographic collection and its exploration. In the tradition of artist-iconographers, their publications act as bridges between eras and knowledge.

Païen has published around thirty books, which have been presented at publishing fairs (including Offprint, Unseen Amsterdam, Multiple Art Day, Paris Ass Book Fair) and exhibition venues (including Salon de Montrouge, Magasins Généraux, Fondation Espace Écureuil, Printemps de Septembre, Rencontres d'Arles, Le Bal, etc).
