Lia Pradal (Éditions Païen) invites you to immerse yourself in her practice of photo books. Drawing on her own catalogue as well as a selection of art books, she will discuss her approach to books, and more specifically to the ‘book-object’. The heart of the workshop will be devoted to the creation of a book for each participant's project, in particular by experimenting with ‘maquettes en blanc’ to test formats, folds and papers.

Collecting Tombs will be presented at the BNF from 10 December 2024 to 30 March 2025 as part of the fourth edition of the exhibition ‘La photographie à tout prix’

To mark the fifth edition of the Rolling Paper festival, LE BAL Books is organising a two-day off-site workshop with artist and publisher Lia Pradal (Editions Païen), in the risography studio at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris. Over the course of the two-day workshop, participants will experiment individually with editorial choices for a collection of images and content, with the aim of creating a synthesis of all the data involved. They will then work together to produce a collective publication.
